First of all, we use it. All the Time. Everywhere. "Plugged in", "Connected", if we're not using 4G we're using Wi-Fi. Chances are very good you're using Wi-Fi to read this. With a wireless connection we are free to send an email, download or stream music, post a message on Facebook - the possibilities are limitless. By accessing the Internet, Wi-Fi makes it easy for us to keep in touch with current events, friends,and families. Work becomes more flexible. Entertainment is available at a touch of a screen. Something had to be done. A geocache can be hidden underwater, or almost anywhere - but one on top of a hill, well above ground, shouldn't be permanently soaked. Or should have things in it besides water. But our memorial Geocache has been fixed, upgraded, enhanced. Thanks to all who found it and drained it over the past few years - your efforts were not in vain. Read more
Last night, as I stood at the Lodge window, watching Taylor and Eric fishing off the deck for the 11th year in a row (!), I stopped to count. Out of the 6 cabins, 5 had guests who were fishing. Read more

I have been staining the new marina building this week. Some people stain really quickly, but they are messy. Other people take a long time, but are very precise. Then there is me. I am slow, and messy. Read more
I am told that owls are wise. This Barred Owl was right outside my window at the bird feeder Saturday. I wish he (she?) would tell me what to include in my website and on my Facebook page. That has been my winter project - the excellent people at Studio-N in Peterborough have been bringing my website up to date, and I have been learning to communicate through Facebook. Read more
